St. Therese - The Little Flower Society

"You know well enough that Our Lord does not look so much at the greatness of our actions, nor even at their difficulty, but at the love at which we do them." - St. Therese

The Little Flower Society (LFS) seeks to share the love and Word of God through doing "the little things" to help those in need. Our patron Saint, St. Therese of Lisieux, lived a simple life devoted to trusting in God for all her needs. LFS is committed to assisting individuals with immediate housing, closing, and food needs while also providing prayer and spiritual support.

These goals are accomplished in many different ways. LFS members feed the hungry each Monday night in an environment filled with faith and companionship. LFS also participates in community clean-ups and visits those who are in need of prayer. Additionally, LFS has the ability for immediate housing, food, clothing, and transportation needs. It is our hope, in doing these "little things" that we will be able to address immediate needs and provide spiritual guidance and resource referrals to enable those with whom we contact to better themselves and grow to understand and feel Christ's love for them.

About St. Therese of Lisieux

Saint Thérèse of Lisieux (Born Marie-Françoise-Thérèse Martin, January 2, 1873 – September 30, 1897), or Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face, O.C.D., was a French Discalced Carmelite nun. She is popularly known as "The Little Flower of Jesus" or simply, "The Little Flower."

Thérèse has been a highly influential model of sanctity for Roman Catholics and for others because of the "simplicity and practicality of her approach to the spiritual life." Together with St. Francis of Assisi, she is one of the most popular saints in the history of the church.[2][3][4] Pope Pius X called her "the greatest saint of modern times."
